Dinners

Every semester we host group dinners where members can learn to cook while making new friends. Each dinner is different with new members and new themes. Group dinners are an important part of our club becuase it gives us a chance to cook for ourselves after cooking for others.

Events

Cooking is awesome, we know. However, every once in a while it's nice to have some fun outside of the kitchen. Our Social Committee constantly thinks of fun activities that our members will enjoy. The possibilities are endless so having fun is pretty much guaranteed.

Media

Social media is a big part of our organization because it helps us stay connected with the community. Using social media we are able to spread our name and get more people involved in our mission to serve the community. Please take a moment to visit our pages and help us further this mission.

Meet the Social Committee

Marissa Smithinsky

I am a third-year International Relations major with a minor in french. It's hard to say where I’m really from because I’ve lived all over. Originally, I was born in Alberta, Canada but then I moved to Egypt and then Texas. I love animals, travelling, biking, dance and food of course! I have a dog called Taz who is entirely Egyptian and he’s the love of my life :). Other than Recipe 4 Good,  I’m in AWOW and in a sorority. I love Recipe4Good because we actually get to help people, and see how our efforts serve them. It is my passion to help people, and by working with Ronald Mcdonald, fundraising, or making huge dinners we are all giving back in some way, and food is pretty great too.

Social Committee Chair

Maddy Cole

I am a third-year Operations Management major with an Economics minor. I joined Recipe4Good the first semester of my freshman year with my older brother, Kevin, as a way to spend time with him by doing something we both enjoy, cooking, while simultaneously serving the Columbus community. I’m originally from Cincinnati and have two yorkies named Pablo and Leo.

Madolyn Desch

I am a second-year International Business major with minors in Fashion and Retail Studies and French.  I’m from Cincinnati and love traveling, hanging out with my dog, Bogey, and ,of course, cooking and eating.  I joined Recipe 4 Good after seeing their booth at the involvement fair and loved how it combined so many of my favorite things --cooking, community service, and meeting new people!

Sarah Slack

I am a first year Business major with a specialization in Marketing and a minor in Studio Art.

I am from Amherst, Ohio, a small town outside of Cleveland. I enjoy playing the piano, drawing, playing with my dog and cooking. I joined Recipe 4 Good autumn semester of my first year after seeing the difference a small group of people could make in the large Columbus community. It’s amazing to see what a little organization can do through its combined love of cooking and volunteering!
